Rochester to host 2022 Minnesota GOP convention

The Minnesota GOP said Thursday that it will hold its 2022 state convention in Rochester.

Republican Party of Minnesota Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan said the event will be held at the Mayo Civic Center May 13-14, 2022.

Over 2,200 delegates and alternates from the state’s eight congressional districts will gather to endorse candidates for statewide races, such as governor, attorney general, secretary of state and state auditor.

"Rochester is one of Minnesota’s most vibrant cities and we are excited to host this important event in southern Minnesota ahead of the 2022 election," Carnahan said.

The event will be the party’s first visit to Rochester since 2014, according to the GOP.
