Prosecutor announces campaign for Dakota County Attorney

A prosecutor has announced she will be running for Dakota County Attorney during this year’s election.

Elizabeth Lamin announced her campaign Tuesday morning, saying she will focus on violent crime and work with partners to hold lower-level offenders accountable.

In addition, Lamin says she will prioritize treatment courts for substance addiction and mental health issues, as well as keep violent offenders off the streets.

Previously, Lamin worked in Stearns County, where she handled criminal cases.

Lamin came to the United States with her family from Russia as a child, and now lives in Eagan.
