Minnesota State Sen. David Senjem tests positive for COVID-19

Minnesota State Sen. David Senjem has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a Minnesota Senate spokesperson.

Senjem, who represents the 25th Congressional District in southeastern Minnesota, was diagnosed with the virus on Monday. He is quarantining at his home.

The spokesperson tells KSTP Senjem attended a Senate Republican caucus meeting on Thursday but did not have any symptoms at the time. The caucus is said to have met in a large hearing room to accommodate for distancing.

Senjem was noted to be wearing a mask while at the meeting.
