Minnesota GOP, DFL leaders prepare for Tuesday caucuses
A big step will be made Tuesday night in Minnesota ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
The DFL Chairman and Vice Chair of the GOP came together Monday to promote Tuesday night’s caucuses.
The caucuses mark the first step in endorsing candidates for the midterm elections.
“The Republican Party, the DFL Party show up on a cold winter evening and participate in what I believe is one of the most unique and exciting opportunities to participate in our political process,” said DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin.
“If in fact you’re tired of yelling at the TV or yelling at the radio for things that are going a little wonky, this is a great time to come out and participate,” said GOP Deputy Chairwoman Donna Bergstrom.
Voters can also help select delegates and set party platforms.
Precinct caucuses open Tuesday at 7 p.m.
As previously reported, some DFL caucuses are opting for a contactless option this year due to the pandemic.
