Former Lt. Gov. Michelle Fischbach files to run for Congress, Rep. Angie Craig files to run for reelection
Former Lt. Gov. Michelle Fischbach officially filed to run for Congress, Tuesday.
Fischbach will run in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District against longtime Democratic Representative Collin Peterson.
Fischbach served for 22 years in the Senate and was the first woman to serve as Senate President in Minnesota. She will still need to win the August primary before November’s general election.
Democratic Rep. Angie Craig also filed to run for reelection of her seat in Congress.
Craig currently serves as Minnesota’s representative for the Second Congressional District.
