FBI starts election security awareness campaign

With Election Day just four weeks away, the FBI has started a public awareness campaign about election security.

The FBI, which is the primary investigative agency responsible for engaging with local and state officials to safeguard election integrity, said it will again ensure elections are safe and secure. However, the FBI is also asking the public to do their part.

The public can report any suspected election crimes or voter fraud to the FBI’s Minneapolis Field Office at 763-569-8000.

According to the FBI, its Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF) is also working to identify and combat malign foreign influence operations targeting democratic institutions. The task force provides accessible tools and resources through in-person briefs and online tools, such as its Protected Voices campaign, which you can find more about here.
