Early Vote Center to begin Saturday hours this weekend ahead of primary
Starting this weekend, voters in Minneapolis will be able to cast their ballot for the upcoming primary election.
City officials say the center will be open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays for the next two weekends. The center will also be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8.
It will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 9, and voters will need to vote at their polling place, which can be found by CLICKING HERE. However, ballots may be dropped off at the center on the 9th until 3 p.m.
Voters will need to register before casting a ballot, and can do so online by CLICKING HERE or going to the Early Voting Center. Anyone who needs to register – or update existing registration – will need to have a proof of residence when voting.

The Aug. 9 primary will be for the following state and federal races:
- Gov. and Lt. Gov.
- Secretary of State
- Attorney General
- US. Representative for district 5
- Minnesota State Senator for districts 62 and 63
- Minnesota stat representative for district 62A
- Hennepin County Sheriff
- Hennepin County Attorney
- Two seats on the Minneapolis School Board – District 5 and At-Large
