Absentee ballot count continues in Minnesota

Minnesota’s voter turnout total is rising as the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office continues to count absentee ballots.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, as of Monday, 444 absentee ballots were added to statewide totals, creating a total of 1,908,926 accepted absentee and mail ballots.

Additionally, the Secretary of State’s Office reports there are 228,916 outstanding absentee and mail ballots, as of Monday.

The updated total follows data from the Secretary of State’s Office that reported, as of noon Wednesday last week, there was a roughly 7.9% increase in ballots over the previous record set during the 2016 general election.
