More than two dozen former Republican lawmakers have endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
A total of 25 Republican former U.S. representatives have now endorsed Biden over Trump, according to a statement released by Biden’s campaign Monday.
Republicans nominate Trump to take on Biden in the fall
The announcement came the day the Republican National Convention began in Charlotte, North Carolina. Last week at the Democratic National Convention, multiple Republicans spoke about their decisions to endorse Biden, including former Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman.
The list includes former Rep. Connie Morella and Rep. Wayne Gilchrest, both of Maryland, Sen. Jeff Flake, of Arizona, and former Rep. Charlie Dent, of Pennsylvania.
