Abortion is front and center in the political arena again after the Supreme Court issued a ruling Friday overturning the landmark 1972 case Roe v. Wade. The decision is expected to result in abortion restrictions or bans in roughly half of U.S. states.
Attorney General Keith Ellison reacted to the decision with a pledge to protect the legal rights of anyone who travels from another state seeking an abortion in Minnesota. Planned Parenthood says this means the high court’s ruling could make Minnesota an abortion destination.
