Previous Experience
Chris Long has been part of the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Sports team since 2010. He’s spent most of his professional life in Minnesota, having started his career as a sports anchor at KDLH-TV in Duluth from 1997-2005. Chris was also the sports director and anchor at WBBH/NBC2 in Ft. Myers, Florida. His first paid television job was a freelance gig for ESPN’s “Outside The Lines”.
Education
Chris holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri where he played lacrosse and hockey, was a founding member of Mizzou’s chapter in Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity and was inducted into the the Omicron Delta Kappa honorary society.
Personal Interests
Chris grew up in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC with later stops in San Diego, Indianapolis and Columbia, Missouri. He is married with two daughters and is doing his best to keep his golf handicap under 20.
