Police in Minneapolis are investigating several sexual assaults and attempted assaults, particularly in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood.
Minneapolis Police said they believe the suspect involved in the assaults is the same person. He's described as a white man, 30 to 50 years old, about 5 feet, 7 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium to athletic build, and he may also have facial hair.
Police said the suspect has very different descriptions depending on when the assaults and attempted assaults occurred.
Authorities also urged people to be aware of their surroundings while outside by avoiding looking at a cellphone or other object but to keep a cellphone charged and easily accessible. Police also urged people to keep doors and windows locked at all times and to walk with a friend if possible.
The FBI, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, University of Minnesota police and Minneapolis police are working together to find the suspect, police said, but the public's help is being requested to help identify the suspect. Law enforcement is also increasing its patrols in the neighborhood.
