The body of a missing Isanti woman was believed to have been found near Isanti Tuesday night.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office said while investigators and police were executing a search warrant on the 300 block of 261st Avenue Northwest in Athens Township, a woman was found dead on the property.

According to the sheriff's office, the medical examiner is expected to formally identify the body.

The sheriff's office reports that, based on the evidence located at the scene, the body is believed to be Amanda Jo Vangrinsven

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension canceled the missing person alert for Vangrinsven, but the identity of the body is yet to be confirmed by the medical examiner.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office and the Isanti Police Department are working with the medical examiner's office to continue the investigation and determine the nature and cause of death.

The Isanti County Sheriff's Office said there is no one in custody and there does not appear to be a threat to the public at this time.

The family has also been notified of this information and asks that everyone respect their privacy at this difficult time, said the sheriff's office.
