Motorcyclist seriously hurt after rear-ending State Patrol squad car in Brooklyn Center
Officials say a motorcyclist was seriously injured after he crashed into a Minnesota State Patrol squad car Friday night in Brooklyn Center.
According to a State Patrol crash report, a state trooper was responding to a call for service just before 11 p.m. when a Yamaha motorcycle rear-ended him on westbound Interstate 94 near Highway 252.
The driver of the motorcycle, Kyle Peterson, 20, of Carver, was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the crash report states.
It is unknown whether Peterson was wearing a helmet or if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
