A Washington County sheriff's deputy charged in the shooting death of a 23-year-old armed suicidal man in 2018 took the stand in his own defense Wednesday.
Brian Krook is facing manslaughter charges in the April 12, 2018 death of Benjamin Evans. Krook, 31, has pleaded not guilty.

The jury began deliberations Wednesday afternoon.
