What started as an online auction has now grown into a diverse celebration.
The Minneapolis Revitalization Festival kicked off in the Twin Cities Thursday with a traveling concert.
Local artists performed outside the State Capitol in St. Paul Thursday afternoon. They also made stops at the Walker Art Museum and Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis.
The traveling gig is a preview of the festival, which runs the first week of August. It will include an art auction, film festival, 12 hours of live-streamed performances and authors exploring topics of equality, injustice and unity.
