82-year-old victim identified in fatal Bloomington incident
Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal incident in Bloomington as an 80-year-old woman.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said Monday that Lila Louise Bulygo died from anoxic encephalopathy due to resuscitated cardiac arrest, due to strangulation. Her manner of death is considered a homicide.
Bloomington Police said officers responded to the 2600 block of 90th Street West after receiving a 911 call for help at 6:45 a.m. on April 29.
Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after woman found unconscious in Bloomington
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman unconscious and showing signs of recent trauma.
Lifesaving measures were performed and the woman was transported to a hospital where she was in critical condition, police said. She died on May 4.
Officers arrested 56-year-old James Anthony Bulygo at the scene.
Police said Bulygo is related to the victim.
The incident remains under investigation.
