1 dead in four-vehicle crash in Rice County

One person died in a four-vehicle crash on Friday in Rice County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Dodge Dakota, Subaru Crosstrek, Mini Cooper and Chevy Trailblazer were all southbound on Interstate 35 when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Mini Cooper, Michael Rae Bendel-Stenzel, 55, of Edina, died due to the crash.
Troopers said that Bendel-Stenzel had his seat belt on and no alcohol was involved.
As for the other vehicles, the rest of the drivers and passengers received injuries considered non-life-threatening or no injuries.
