Zumwinkle rallies Gophers with two goals in third period

Grace Zumwinkle scored twice in the third period as the Gophers women’s hockey team rallied to beat St. Cloud State Thursday at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.

It was the 100th game between the two programs and Minnesota leads the all-time series 94-3-3. Minnesota, ranked #2 in the country, has beaten the Huskies 15 straight games.

St. Cloud State opened the scoring in the second period when Olivia Cvar scored on the power play.

Zumwinkle’s first goal of the day came 1:41 into the third period and the game-winner was with 6:35 remaining in regulation.
