Wolves sign Greg Monroe to 10-day deal amid COVID outbreak

The Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday officially signed center Greg Monroe to a 10-day contract.

The 31-year-old Monroe has played in 12 games this season for the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G-League, averaging 10.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

Monroe is the third player to sign a 10-day contract with the Timberwolves this season, joining Rayjon Tucker and Chris Silva, amid a COVID-19 outbreak that has forced half the roster to miss time.

Minnesota hosts Boston on Monday night. The Celtics are without at least seven players, including star Jayson Tatum, due to health and safety protocols.
