Wolves, Lynx hire chief experience officer
Wednesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx announced a newly created executive position within the organization.
Marquise Watts will be the chief experience officer for the organization and will focus on "premier player experience and establishing the organization as a talent destination," according to the teams.
Watts most recently worked as the president of brand strategy for Klutch Sports Group but has also worked at Under Armour and Adidas.
"I’m very excited to join the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx organization," Watts said in a statement. "The leadership team here in Minnesota is serious about building a world-class organization. There is much to untap and explore, culturally and experientially for our players and community. This is just the beginning, and there is a lot to look forward to."
Watts, a Milwaukee native, played college basketball at the University of Minnesota-Morris.
He’ll officially start with the Timberwolves and Lynx this spring and will report directly to CEO Ethan Casson.
