Wolves fined $250K for holding offseason workout in Miami

The NBA has dealt the Minnesota Timberwolves a $250,000 fine for holding a workout in Miami over the offseason.

According to a news release, the Wolves violated a league rule that bars teams from holding practices or workouts for their players outside their home market.

The NBA says the violation happened in early September.

Both in interviews and on social media, the Wolves were very open about their Miami trip and the plan to gather for workouts. One day involved workouts and a dinner at limited partner Alex Rodriguez’s house.
