The Wolves had Tru Pettigrew, an expert on connecting communities with police, address the team in a Zoom chat on Wednesday.

Saunders wanted his players and staff to understand that this country, as a whole, has a long way to go when it comes to race relations.

"I’m a white male in a leadership postion, and I’ve wanted to educate myself {on race relations} to be a better leader," Saunders said. "Everybody is hurting, as we all should."
