Wild to add TRIA logo to jerseys in new sponsorship

For the first time, the Minnesota Wild will have a sponsor patch on game jerseys.

Monday, the Wild announced a multi-year partnership with HealthPartners, TRIA Orthopedics and Regions Hospital that includes a TRIA logo embroidered on all of the team’s game-day jerseys.

It’s the first such sponsorship for the organization after the league formally approved jersey patches last year. However, this year is the first year jersey sponsorships are allowed.

“We are very excited to announce our jersey patch partnership with TRIA Orthopedics,” Wild President Matt Majka said in a statement. “We share a love for the great State of Hockey and are dedicated to breaking down barriers and providing broader access to the sport. HealthPartners has been a tremendous partner of our organization since our first season and we are thrilled with this opportunity to expand our partnership.”

The Wild has already partnered with HealthPartners for the past 22 years. Additionally, TRIA orthopedic surgeon Dr. Joel Boyd is the only team physician in Wild history, and Regions Hospital Emergency Medical Services has provided fan care at Wild games since 2015.

As part of the new deal, HealthPartners is also working with the Minnesota Wild Foundation to recognize communities with special game nights for Black History Month, Pride Night and Hockey Fights Cancer.

“We know how much the Minnesota Wild means to Saint Paul and to the State of Minnesota, and we’re excited to expand our partnership with the team,” HealthPartners President and CEO Andrea Walsh said. “We’re looking forward to continuing to provide exceptional care to the players and fans and broadening our collaboration in the community.”

Also Monday, single-game tickets for the upcoming Wild season went on sale.
