Wild sign 2022 3rd-round pick Milne

The Minnesota Wild have inked another draft pick to their first professional contract.

Wednesday, the team announced it signed forward Michael Milne to a three-year, entry-level deal.

The 20-year-old was selected 89th overall by the Wild in the 2022 NHL Draft.

This season, Milne has played one game with Minnesota’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild.

Last year, he tallied 81 points (38-43=81) in 68 games for the Winnipeg Ice in the Western Hockey League. He also was second in the league with a plus-56 rating and tied for 10th in goals. Additionally, Milne added another 19 points (13-6=19) in 15 playoff games for Winnipeg, which tied for the second-most playoff goals in the league.
