Wild players to skate at Tria Rink starting Wednesday
Minnesota Wild players will begin voluntary, small-group training at Tria Rink in St. Paul starting Wednesday.
All players and select staff permitted inside the facility will be tested for COVID-19 prior to participation, in accordance with Phase 2 of the NHL’s Return to Play Plan, the Wild said. Players will also undergo pre-participation medical evaluations before working out or skating.
Players can skate in groups of up to 12 but must remain socially distant both on and off the ice, the team said. Players will have specific arrival and departure times, as well as designated non-contact points of entry and exit to the building. All people entering the building will also have to complete a remote educational meeting before arriving at the facility.
For the health and safety of all involved, the sessions won’t be open to the public or media.
