The Wild are four points out of a playoff spot with 27 games left. We were at practice Monday and talked with coach Bruce Boudreau, Kevin Fiala, Marcus Foligno, and Matt Dumba.

While Sunday’s one goal loss vs. Colorado stings, Boudreau liked how his team played. His sense is if they play like that, wins will come. He also noted earning three wins during the week.

The Wild continue this lengthy homestand with games this week vs. Vegas, New York Rangers, and San Jose.

While the Wild are four points from a playoff spot, they’d have to leap Nashville, Arizona, and Calgary.

The NHL Trade Deadline is Feb. 24, with the Wild in a position to sell some assets if still out of a playoff spot. Heck, general manager Bill Guerin could strike on a hockey-type trade even if the playoffs are realistic in two weeks.
