Vikings’ Zimmer wants his defense to regroup vs. Lions

Mike Zimmer saw his offense have a good outing against the New Orleans Saints on Christmas. Now, he’s hoping his defense can bounce back after giving up six touchdowns to Saints running back Alvin Kamara in the 52-33 loss

"We missed 17 tackles in the game. That’s usually because players aren’t in the right position. I need to do a better job getting these young players ready to play," said Mike Zimmer.

Zimmer added: "When you get your nose rubbed in it you’ve got to come back out and fight. It will show the personality of the players we have and what they have to do."

Minnesota will head to Detroit to finish up the 2020 season against a team that’s 5-10 and has lost five of its last six games. Game time is set for noon on Sunday.
