The Minnesota Vikings waived offensive lineman Pat Elflein just one day after activating him from injured reserve.
Elflein played in the Vikings season opener against Green Bay but has been on IR since September 17. He was a third-round pick in 2017 and has started games at both center and guard.
"We just felt lilke we had some better options," Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said about the release of Elflein on Saturday.
The Vikings visit the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
