Dalvin Cook is working to get back on the field for the Vikings’ game vs. Cleveland at U.S. Bank Stadium Sunday, but his status is still up in the air.
He was able to do some stuff during practice Wednesday, listed as limited in the injury report. He didn’t practice at all last week, then missed the win vs. Seattle.
"I’m attacking my rehab every day real hard. We’ll see how this thing plays out, but I am extremely confident in what we’ve got going on in the training room and what they’re doing to get me on the field. I’m extremely confident," Cook told reporters on Wednesday morning in Eagan.

Make no mistake about it: The Vikings want Cook on the field, but after what backup Alexander Mattison did on Sunday against the Seahawks, the Vikings running game didn’t miss a beat. Mattison ran for 112 yards and caught six passes for 59 yards. Cook gave high praise to Mattison’s performance in his absence.
"I see it every day. He’s like my little brother for real. I see him every day with the runs he makes, so it’s not a surprise to me when he gets 170 yards all-purpose. It shows he puts the work in," Cook said.
Cook is recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in the loss to Arizona on Sept. 19.
Kickoff Sunday is set for noon. Former Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski is the Browns’ head coach.
