Vikings’ Pierce, Conklin questionable for Packers game; Dantzler doubtful

The Minnesota Vikings got very bad news Friday morning when quarterback Kirk Cousins was placed on the COVID-19 list, but the team also has some injuries to worry about.

The Vikings listed cornerback Cameron Dantzler as doubtful for Sunday’s game at Green Bay. Additionally, tight end Tyler Conklin, defensive tackle Michael Pierce and linebacker Chazz Surratt are questionable. Pierce wasn’t at practice on Friday.

Of course, Minnesota also placed wide receiver Adam Thielen on injured reserve earlier in the week, ending his season.

Linebacker Nick Vigil was also placed on the COVID list this week and may not be available for Sunday. Guard Oli Udoh was placed on the COVID list as well but would be eligible to return for Sunday’s game if he’s asymptomatic. Fortunately, offensive tackle Rashod Hill was activated from the COVID list Friday and will be available Sunday.

With a loss on Sunday, Minnesota’s playoff odds would drop to 2%, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index.
