Vikings’ Patrick Peterson hosts 5th annual Thanksgiving Giveaway

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson hosted his fifth annual Patrick Peterson Thanksgiving Giveaway on Monday afternoon at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagan.

Peterson’s food drive gave 200 Thanksgiving meals to families in need. Peterson partnered with the Open Door food bank to help provide the 200 meals.

Peterson noted that he learned back in high school about the importance of giving back, both financially and time-wise.

As for whether Peterson will return Sunday vs. the Packers, he said, "We’ll see." He’s missed three games with a hamstring injury.
