With Vikings veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen missing the Carolina game due to being on the Covid-19 list, offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak was very pleased to see the younger guys meet the challenge of filling the void left at the wide receiver position.

"It gets back to the classroom. I need to bounce you (Justin Jefferson) around due to the formations to free you up. So you challenge the young players to learn from the great ones who’ve done it over the years. You’re happy for guys like Bisi Johnson who continues to put the work in," said Kubiak.

One position that’s been a constant for the Vikings has been at tight end. Kyle Rudolph is in his 10th season with the team and he’s getting close to playing in his 100th game in a row as a starter.

"I’ve had good luck battling injuries. It’s exciting to be out there with my teammates. Injuries are the most difficult thing to deal with. I’ve had the best trainers and staff keeping me healthy enough to play week in and week out," said Rudolph.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Vikings’ comeback win over Carolina in Week 12.

The Vikings host the Jaguars Sunday at noon.
