Vikings invite 4 Twin Cities physicians to attend Super Bowl events
The Minnesota Vikings announced Thursday the team has selected four vaccinated health care workers to be their guests at Super Bowl LV, to recognize the work frontline workers have done during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the team, health care workers from around the country have been invited by National Football League (NFL) Clubs to take part in various Super Bowl activities.
"As the NFL season culminates in Tampa Bay, we are thanking our health care heroes who have been on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic," Peter O’Reilly, NFL executive vice president of club business and league events, said in a statement. "We are honored to salute those who have demonstrated dedication, commitment and courage and deserve our deepest gratitude and admiration."
The four Minnesota physicians attending Super Bowl events are from Twin Cities Orthopedics, according to the Vikings, and "were chosen in recognition of their unwavering commitment to the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic."
