Minnesota has added defensive lineman Harrison Phillips and linebackers Za’Darius Smith and Jordan Hicks during free agency, as the team revamps the defense. They are maintaining interest in restricted free agent OL Ryan Bates. He visited last week and is set to make a decision soon.

The Vikings also are targeting additional reinforcements, particularly cornerbacks. They will add talent too in the NFL Draft, which starts on April 28. The Vikings have the 12th pick in the 1st round.
