Source: Vikings decline 5th-year option on center Garrett Bradbury’s contract
The Vikings have declined center Garrett Bradbury‘s fifth-year option for 2023, a source tells our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson. Monday was the deadline to exercise the option.
Bradbury was the 18th overall pick of the 2019 draft. He’s started all 16 games in 2019 and 2020. But in 2021, Mason Cole replaced him for a few games before Bradbury was inserted back into the lineup. Cole left in March as a free agent for Pittsburgh.
Had the Vikings picked up Bradbury’s 2023 option, they would have owed him $13.202 million.
Bradbury is still the front-runner to start at center this year. However, minimum, look for free agent addition Chris Reed to provide competition.
