Vikings coach Zimmer previews game vs. Lions

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer met with reporters on Wednesday and previewed Sunday’s game vs. Detroit.

Missing practice on Wednesday for the Vikings (2-5) was CB Cameron Dantzler (concussion), CB Holton Hill (foot), and CB Mark Fields (chest). Additionally, CB Harrison Hand was limited (hamstring).

In other words, it could be a big game passing for the Lions (3-4). However, QB Matthew Stafford was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after being in close contact with someone who tested positive. He can’t practice this week, but could still play Sunday. WR Kenny Golladay (hip), Stafford’s top weapon, is on injured reserve, which is a big blow for Detroit.

Kickoff Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium is set for noon. The Vikings have a 5-game home losing streak.
