Vikings coach Mike Zimmer held his normal Monday news conference and said following Sunday’s loss to the Bengals, "I have the same feeling. I think we can be good. But we’ve got to go out and show it."

Despite all the mistakes, the Vikings had an opportunity to win in overtime. Zimmer was unphased when asked about the team’s 12 penalties that put his team in a difficult position it couldn’t recover from.

"We had five sacks and pressured the quarterback really well. We fought back and did a lot of good things. We just need to clean up our mistakes and not have so many penalties. When you have 10 penalties in the first half alone and they decline four others in the second half, you have to find a way to eliminate those mistakes," said Zimmer.

One of the bright spots in the game was wide receiver K.J. Osborn. Osborn had seven catches for 76 yards, including a long third down play that went for 25 yards.

"I’m not concerned about being the third receiver. Right now my main goal is to simply help my team in any way that I can," said Osborn.

The Vikings will have to face a strong Arizona Cardinals team on Sunday on the road. The Cardinals defeated the Tennessee Titans, 38-13, in Week 1.
