U of M soccer head coach Stefanie Golan resigns, takes same position at Missouri
University of Minnesota Athletic Director Mark Coyle announced Thursday that soccer head coach Stefanie Golan is resigning to take the same position at Missouri.
Golan coached Minnesota for nine seasons and compiled a record of 92-64-24 and led the Gophers to one Big Ten regular season title, two Big Ten tournament championships and four NCAA tournament berths.
Prior to Minnesota, Golan was the head coach for three years at the United States Military Academy, according to a release.
"I appreciate what Coach Golan accomplished at Minnesota and wish her well at Missouri," Coyle said. "A national search for our next head coach has already begun. Our program has strong institutional support, a history of success, a loyal fan base and competes at a tremendous facility. I am excited to share everything our soccer program has to offer with candidates."
