TwinsFest scheduled for late January, tickets on sale next week
The Minnesota Twins have announced plans for the in-person return of TwinsFest.
Next year’s offseason celebration will be back in-person for the first time since 2020. The event is scheduled for Jan. 27 and 28, and tickets will be available for purchase online starting Dec. 8 at 10 a.m.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Minnesota Twins Community Fund.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Twins Territory back to Minneapolis for our first in-person TwinsFest in three years, while introducing some fresh elements to bring our fans even closer to their favorite Twins players and personalities in new and exciting ways,” Twins President and CEO Dave St. Peter said. “We cannot wait to rekindle one of our region’s greatest and most beloved winter traditions, and to celebrate Twins Baseball with our fans!”
On Jan. 27, TwinsFest Live! is scheduled to run from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Fillmore Minneapolis.
The event will be an exclusive, more intimate setting with current and former players, coaches, broadcasters and front office personnel. Attendees will have meet-and-greet and photo opportunities, the chance to play interactive games, watch a live performance by Arch Allies and participate in other events.
The following day, the club will host Signature Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Target Field.
In addition to the chance to get autographs from players, coaches, alumni and broadcasters, fans will be able to play interactive games, see memorabilia displays, participate in a merchandise yard sale and the fan-led question-and-answer session, as well as other events.
The team also says the first 3,000 fans through the Target Field gates for Signature Saturday will get a voucher for a complimentary ticket to any Twins home game in April, except for the home opener, and a free Twins beanie.
Also on Jan. 28, the team will partner with South Minneapolis-based nonprofit Urban Ventures to hold two youth clinics.
From 10 to 11:30 a.m., kids ages 6 to 12 will have the chance to get ready for the 2023 season by learning from their favorite Twins players and coaches in an indoor, drills and fundamentals-based setting. Kids 13 to 18 will get the same opportunity from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Pre-registration for the youth clinics is required.
