Twins trim roster to 26, 2 placed on injured list
The Minnesota Twins have announced more roster moves, reporting two players have been added to the team’s 10-day injured list.
According to the team, both infielder Miguel Sanó and outfielder Kyle Garlick have been put on the 10-day injured list, citing a right calf strain for Garlick and a left knee sprain for Sanó.
In addition, the Twins say they have recalled infielder Jose Miranda and pitcher Jovani Moran from Triple-A St. Paul.
The team says they also optioned two players to St. Paul – catcher José Godoy and pitcher Cole Sands.
The moves put the team’s active roster at 26 players.
According to the Twins, Miranda was 22 for 86 for the Saints this season, hitting 10 doubles and two home runs in addition to 12 RBI. He is still looking to make his major league debut.
Meanwhile, team officials say Moran has a 3.68 ERA, with six walks and 14 strikeouts during six relief appearances for the Saints this season.
