Twins reinstate Sano, place Kirilloff on injured list

The Minnesota Twins announced that they have reinstated infielder Miguel Sanó from the 10-day Injured List and placed outfielder/first baseman Alex Kirilloff on the 10-day Injured List (retro to May 4) with a right wrist sprain.

Kirilloff will be seeing a specialist, the same one who helped him recover from a comparable injury in 2019.

Sano is back after missing the Twins’ last 12 games with a right hamstring strain. He is hitting .111 (5-for-45) with two home runs, two RBI, 13 walks in 15 games this season.

Kirilloff is hitting .214 (9-for-42) with three doubles, four home runs, 11 RBI, eight runs scored and a .799 OPS in 12 games. He hit safely in each of his last seven games.
