Twins reinstate reliever Megill, DFA Minaya

The Minnesota Twins are getting a bullpen arm back.

Monday, the club reinstated Trevor Megill from the injured list. He’s missed the last 18 games due to a right shoulder impingement.

This season, Megill is 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA over 13 innings for the Twins, including 5 walks and 15 strikeouts.

To make room for him on the roster, the team designated Juan Minaya for release or assignment.

Minaya pitched in two games for the Twins after having his contract selected on Friday, tallying 3.1 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts.

Minnesota opens a road trip Monday night in Chicago against the White Sox.
