Twins recall Thorpe, DFA Vincent

The Minnesota Twins have recalled left-handed pitcher Lewis Thorpe from Triple-A St. Paul.
In six games for the Saints this season, Thorpe is 1-2 with a 4.76 ERA of 17 innings, with 12 strikeouts and seven walks.
Thorpe is scheduled to start Wednesday’s game against Cleveland. It will be his fifth stint with Minnesota this season.
To make room on the roster for him, the Twins designated relief pitcher Nick Vincent for release or assignment. The 35-year-old appeared in two games for the Twins after his contract was selected on Aug. 10. Vincent allowed four hits and one run over 4.1 innings with four strikeouts.
