Twins put Ober on IL, recall Barnes
Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins placed pitcher Bailey Ober on the 10-day Injured List, ending his season.
Ober suffered a right hip strain, according to the team.
The right-hander started 20 games for Minnesota this season, going 3-3 with a 4.19 ERA in 92.1 innings and striking out 96.
To take his spot on the active roster, the Twins recalled left-handed pitcher Charlie Barnes from Triple-A St. Paul.
Barnes has started 16 games for the Saints this year and has also appeared in seven games for the Twins. He’s scheduled to start Tuesday night’s game against Detroit, which is the opener of the final home series of the season for the Twins.
