He had a chance to watch a game with Twins president of operations Derek Falvey, the architect behind all the roster changes we’ve seen since the end of last season.

It’s clear that Falvey and many others with the Twins are bothered by last season’s last place finish in the A.L. Central. Bringing in SS Carlos Correa and others was calculated to upgrade a roster that needed it, and still needs starting pitching help.
As we’ve reported, the Twins have spoken with the A’s about their starters, but no deal is imminent. The Twins did add free agent starter Chris Archer on Monday.
