On Monday, the Minnesota Twins placed outfielder Brent Rooker on the Paternity List.

Rooker and his wife, Allie, are expecting their first child (a girl) in Minneapolis, according to the team. The 26-year-old has appeared in 44 games for Minnesota this season, hitting .203 (31-for-153) with eight doubles, seven home runs, 13 RBI, 21 runs scored and 12 walks.

To replace Rooker on the 28-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Kyle Barraclough from Triple-A St. Paul. Barraclough has appeared in 21 games for the Saints this season, going 4-1 with a 2.49 ERA in 25.1 innings pitched. He has allowed 10 walks, 38 strikeouts, and recorded a 0.99 WHIP as well.

This season, Barraclough has appeared in four games with Minnesota, allowing four runs on four hits in 3.1 innings pitched, with two walks and four strikeouts.

The Twins play a make-up game on Monday in the Bronx against the New York Yankees, followed by a quick two-game homestand against the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday.
