The Twins announced Saturday they had placed third baseman Josh Donaldson on the 10-day injured list with a mild right hamstring strain.
Donaldson suffered the injury while running the bases after he hit a double in the first inning of Thursday’s game in Milwaukee.
To fill out the 26-man roster, the Twins recalled right-handed outfielder Brent Rooker from the taxi squad. The 2017 first-round pick made his major-league debut Sept. 4 of last season and appeared in seven games overall, hitting .316 in 19 at-bats with two doubles, one home run, five RBI and four runs scored.
Rooker’s 2020 season was cut short after he fractured his right forearm on Sept. 13.
