Twins pitcher Michael Pineda provides injury update

Twins starter Michael Pineda has been out the last eight days because of right elbow inflammation, but expects to be back very soon. He’s eligible to come off the injured list later this week.

Pineda has started 11 games for the Twins this season, going 3-4 with a 3.70 ERA (56.0 IP, 23 ER), 15 walks, 51 strikeouts and a 1.14 WHIP.
He is a free agent after the year. In other words, could be trade bait before the July 30 non-waiver deadline.
