Twins non-tender Rosario, Wisler, agree to deals with 5 players
The Minnesota Twins announced several roster moves Wednesday, which was the deadline for clubs to tender contracts to unsigned arbitration-eligible players.
The team announced it non-tendered pitcher Matt Wisler and outfielder Eddie Rosario, making them free agents.
Additionally, the team also agreed to one-year deals with pitcher Jose Berrios ($6.1 million), outfielder Byron Buxton ($5.125 million), pitcher Tyler Duffey ($2.2 million), catcher Mitch Garver ($1.875 million) and pitcher Caleb Thielbar ($650,000).
The Twins also tendered contracts to all other unsigned players, including pitcher Taylor Rogers.
A total of 35 players remain on the major league roster for the Twins: 18 pitchers, four catchers, six infielders and seven outfielders.
